To celebrate the grand opening of its first Pearland restaurant, Salata, “The Next Generation Salad Bar,” will give away a free salad or salad wrap and a signature drink to the first 45 guests in line on July 9. The restaurant at 2810 Business Center Dr. will also give out Salata gift cards, beverage tumblers, bags and more to guests who visit on grand opening day, beginning at 11 a.m.
The Pearland Salata will donate 15 percent of sales from grand opening day directly to the Pearland Neighborhood Center, an organization providing multiple services to those in need, such as emergency assistance, utility and rent assistance, and a food pantry.
“Support from our local businesses helps the Pearland Neighborhood Center fulfill our mission,” said Pearland Neighborhood Center Manager Debbie Rubestello. “Salata’s commitment will benefit the well-being of our community, and its delicious salads and wraps will help keep us all healthy.”
The opening of the Pearland location will also be the unveiling of Salata’s new restaurant design, setting the direction for all future restaurant openings. With all-natural building materials, the design aligns more closely with the chain’s mission to offer fresh, healthy and pure menu offerings.
“The new design encompasses everything Salata is about – fresh, customizable, healthy and high quality – while delivering a more vibrant and modern atmosphere,” said Salata founder Berge Simonian. “We invite our Pearland neighbors to join us on opening day and be the first to experience our new look along with the fresh, healthy options for which Salata is known.”
Nearly every element of Salata’s restaurant design has changed. Dark mango-stained wood planks line the walls and stone countertops replace wood laminate, while prep areas will feature stone and glass. Subway tiles in the ordering station take the place of menu boards, which are being phased out.
A state-of-the-art beverage station with tea taps will be a showcase of the new look. The taps deliver fresh iced tea and lemonade through a system much like a beer tap. To showcase the new taps, Salata will debut two new iced tea flavors – mango and black currant – and plans to roll out limited-time-only blends seasonally.
The 2,450-square-foot restaurant will be the 23rd Houston-area location for the growing salad bar chain. Hours of operation are Monday -Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information and a list of restaurants, please visit www.salata.com.
