Business of the Year Award recipients ADDI Printing
Pearland Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Banquet and Meeting was held Thursday (Jan. 22) at the Knights of Columbus Hall, located at 2320 Hatfield Rd.
The incoming board chair, Patrick Larkin of the Larkin Law Firm, selected, “The Best is Yet to Come” as this year’s banquet theme.
The Chamber tipped its hat to The Rat Pack, calling the event, “Pearland’s own Rat Pack Gala.”
Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra sang on the big screens and Marilyn Monroe entertained the crowd, singing, “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend.”
Attendees looked elegant and dapper in black tie formalwear, some even choosing to dress with the theme.
Colors were presented by Pearland High School’s Junior ROTC team, consisting of Christiana Taylor, Bailey Vandenberg, Brandon McKinney, Skye Mosk and Sgt. Major Grant.
Chamber Finance Coordinator Jeanell Thomas was a vision in gold as she sang the National Anthem.
The Invocation was provided by Phil Lloyd, The Growth Coach.
Dinner, catered by Joe’s Barbecue in Alvin, was served before the Chamber got down to business, announcing this year’s award winners, saying goodbye to outgoing Board Chair Mona Chavarria, welcoming incoming Board Chair Larkin and swearing in its new Board of Directors.
