T.J. Maxx joined the Pearland community in November, just in time to bring plenty of Christmas bargains to town. There are more than 1,000 T.J. Maxx stores around the country, and each time they enter a new market, they select a local non-profit to honor with an opening day donation. Forgotten Angels, a non-profit serving individuals living with developmental disabilities, was chosen for the Pearland store and received a $5000.00 gift on opening day.

“T.J. Maxx is a beautiful store and a great addition to the neighborhood!” says Holly McDonald, Director of Development for Forgotten Angels. T.J. Maxx offers an ever-fresh array of fashionable, brand name family apparel, home fashions and other merchandise, such as beauty products, along with an expanded assortment of fine jewelry and other accessories.

Forgotten Angels provides quality care for developmentally and mentally challenged individuals. Based on individual assessed needs, they receive a comprehensive array of services including supervised living, foster/companion care, supported home living, transportation, in-home skills training, community integration, nursing, dietary planning and occupational and physical therapy. The Forgotten Angels Foundation assists in this effort by providing specially designed houses and facilities and by supporting enrichment opportunities, educational enhancement and opportunities for social skills development and individualized training to improve and maintain their independence, academic skills and abilities. For information on Forgotten Angels contact Holly McDonald, 281-412-6435, ext. 136 or development@forgottenangels.org.
